008 — Class 8 includes mainly hand-operated implements used as tools in the respective professions.

009 — Class 9 consists mostly of instruments used for controlling vehicles (such as ships), scientific research, and all computer programs and software regardless of the recording media such as CD-ROMs, hard drives, downloads, etc.

011 — Class 11 is for lighting, heating, cooking, refrigeration, drying, ventilating, water supply, steam generating, and sanitary purposes. Examples include air conditioning, hot water bottles, bed warmers, blankets for non-medical purposes, and electric kettles.

012 — Class 12 includes apparatus for locomotion by land, air, or water including motors, engines, couplings, and transmission components.
